Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 large sweet onions, sliced thinly lengthwise
  • 8 slices turkey, white and dark
  • 4 soft hoagie rolls
  • 4 butter lettuce leaves
  • chermoula mayonnaise
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced thinly

How To Make sweet onion, turkey and chermoula mayo sandwiches

  • Step 1
    Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium high heat
  • Step 2
    Add onions and cook for 5 minutes. Turn down heat to medium low.
  • Step 3
    Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are golden brown, about 45 minutes total. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Step 5
    Layer turkey on bottoms of rolls. Mound onions over the turkey. Drizzle generously with Chermoula Mayonnaise
  • Step 6
    Add lettuce leaves and tomato slices. Put on sandwich roll top. Serve
