PREP/PREPARE
THE SLOPPY JOE MIX
Gather your ingredients.
Add the ground beef, sausage, and onion to a skillet over medium heat.
Cook until the onions begin to soften, and the protein has almost cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Chef’s Note: Use a wooden spoon to break the meat into small pieces.
Drain off any excess grease.
Add the green bell pepper, and garlic.
Cook until the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the tomato paste, and stir to incorporate.
Add the remainder of the ingredients
Stir to thoroughly combine.
Allow the mixture to lightly simmer until the sauce begins to reduce and thicken, about 20 to 30 minutes.
Remove from heat, and allow it to cool.

Gather your ingredients.
Brush the mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice.
Add some of the cheese to one of the slices (the side without the mayo).
Add some of the sloppy Joe mix on top.
Add more cheese to the top.
Finish with the top slice of bread (mayo side out).
Place the sandwich into a skillet over medium heat.
Flip after about 90 seconds.
Continue to flip every 90 seconds until both sides are nice and brown, about 5 or 6 flips.

Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
