I did not include any amounts because the amount of any ingredient depends on personal preference and the amount of sandwiches you want to make. I prefer the thinly sliced corned beef because it makes for a cleaner bite and thin cheese because it melts better.

How To Make reubens

Step 1Heat skillet to medium-low heat.

Step 2Prepare the sandwiches by spreading thousand island dressing on one slice of bread. Layer sauerkraut, then corned beef, cheese, and then o top a second slice of bread also covered in thousand island dressing.

Step 3In heated skillet, melt butter. Grill both sides of sandwich until crispy and cheese is melted.
