4 serving(s)
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- salt
- 4 tablespoons Thousand Island Dressing
- 8 slices Swiss Cheese slices
- 8 slices oblong rye bread
- 1 cup sauerkraut drained
- 4 tablespoons butter
How To Make reuben patty melt
-
Step 1Divide the beef into 4 equal portions. Flatten into an oval shape. Season with salt and let sit on the craving board for 10 minutes.
-
Step 2Place a flat grill pan or large frying pan on stove. Add the burgers and cook until desired doneness. I like medium. Butter 4 slices of bread on one side. Remove the burgers to the carving board and add 2 slices of cheese onto each burger.
-
Step 3Place the buttered bread butter side down on the griddle. Place a patty of beef on each piece of bread. Top the remaining pieces with the Thousand Island Dressing and sauerkraut. Place the top pieces of bread topping sides down onto the patties. Butter the top of the bread. Turn the patties over and brown on the other side. Remove from the stove and enjoy
