Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 4 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 pound shaved steak
- salt & pepper to taste
- hoagie buns
- butter flavored cooking spray
- 1 cup stadium style cheese sauce or cheese wiz (traditionally the cheese wiz goes on a philly, but i like the stadium style cheese sauce a little better)
How To Make philly cheese steak ~ my way

Step 1Heat 1 Tbsp. oil up in medium skillet. Add onions and mushrooms. Saute until soft. Scrape into a bowl and set aside.

Step 2Add another tablespoon of oil to pan only if needed. Bring to medium high temp and add steak. Cook until browned. Salt & pepper to taste. Set aside; keep warm.

Step 3Meanwhile, heat cheese sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.

Step 4Toast buns if desired. I open them, spray them with butter flavored cooking spray and place them under the broiler for about 4 minutes.
