- 6 slices 1/2 inch thick country white bread
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 tablespoons apple butter
- 4 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 1 pound black forest ham
- 12 ounces extra sharp white cheddar cheese thinly sliced
- fresh chives chopped for garnish
How To Make open face cheddar and apple butter sandwich

Step 1Preheat broiler. Brush the bread with olive oil on one side. Broil for 2 minutes until the bread is toasted.

Step 2Remove from broiler Spread each slices of bread with apple butter then mustard.

Step 3Top with ham and then cheese. Broil until cheese melts. Top with chives and serve open faced.
