not yo mama's grilled cheese sandwich
My grandson was visiting and when I offered to make him a turkey sandwich, he asked if I could make him a grilled cheese and turkey. This sandwich sort of grew from ingredients that I had on hand that sounded like they would go well together. The result was delicious awesomeness! I hope you enjoy this sandwich as much as we do.

Ingredients
- 2 slices good quality white bread
- 2 slices american cheese
- 1 slice sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 slice mild cheddar cheese
- 1 slice ripe tomato cut about 1/4" thick
- 2 slices ripe avocado
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 2 slices turkey, sliced very thin.
How To Make not yo mama's grilled cheese sandwich

Step 1Butter one side of each slice of the bread and lay the first slice buttered side down in a skillet or on a griddle.

Step 2Begin layering ingredients in the following order: slice of American cheese, slice of tomato, slice of sharp cheddar cheese, 2 thin slices turkey, slice mild cheddar cheese, the avocado, slice of American cheese. Top with second slice of bread, buttered side up.

Step 3Turn heat on to medium high under your skillet or griddle and weight the sandwich with a sandwich press or a plate with and a quart jar filled with water.

Step 4When bread is toasted, flip sandwich, weight it again and toast the other side. Plate it, cut in half and serve immediately.
