2 slicegood quality white bread
2 sliceamerican cheese
1 slicesharp cheddar cheese
1 slicemild cheddar cheese
1 sliceripe tomato cut about 1/4" thick
2 sliceripe avocado
2 sliceturkey, sliced very thin.
How to Make Not Yo Mama's Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- Butter one side of each slice of the bread and lay the first slice buttered side down in a skillet or on a griddle.
- Begin layering ingredients in the following order: slice of American cheese, slice of tomato, slice of sharp cheddar cheese, 2 thin slices turkey, slice mild cheddar cheese, the avocado, slice of American cheese. Top with second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Turn heat on to medium high under your skillet or griddle and weight the sandwich with a sandwich press or a plate with and a quart jar filled with water.
- When bread is toasted, flip sandwich, weight it again and toast the other side. Plate it, cut in half and serve immediately.
