mom's italian sandwich presto

I have made many different versions of this recipe my mother Madeleine used to make, and the hubby loves them all! I tend to omit the onion and egg, and then double the meats on each slice. Serve with chips, or you favorite side, and you will be very happy!

Ingredients For mom's italian sandwich presto

  • 6 slice
    white bread, toasted
  • 6 slice
  • 6 slice
  • 1/3 c
    italian dressing
  • 6 slice
    tomato (i omit most of the time)
  • 3
    hard boiled eggs, sliced (i omit)
  • 4 oz
    cream cheese and chives, whipped
  • 2 Tbsp
    italian salad dressing

How To Make mom's italian sandwich presto

  • 1
    Fry meat in 1/3 cup dressing, place on toast. Top with tomato and egg slices. Warm cream cheese, thin with dressing to make a smooth sauce. Pour over sandwiches and bake8-10 minutes at 425 degrees or until heated through.
