microwave hot dogs
I was visiting a friend whose grandson didn't want the lunch provided, and wanted a hot dog instead. She started to pull out a pan and fill it with water. I asked her why she didn't use the microwave, and she replied that hot dogs exploded. Well, they won't if you heat them this way.

How To Make microwave hot dogs
-
Step 1Insert hot dogs into the buns. Wrap each in a paper towel and place on a microwave-safe plate.
-
Step 2Heat in microwave on high for about 40 seconds. (My micro is 1100 watts, and this works for two hotdogs, I go 30 seconds for one hotdog. If you use jumbo franks or large buns, you will need a little more time).
-
Step 3Garnish as desired. I love using pico de gallo - much easier than chopping just a little tomato and a little onion. I usually have a container in my fridge for various dishes, from my favorite local Mexican market.
