Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 4 large sub buns

How To Make lasagna subs

  • Step 1
    Place the ground beef in a saucepan with the onion, garlic, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Cook until no longer pink. Stir in the tomato sauce.
  • Step 2
    Mix the mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and basil. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Step 3
    Scoop out the bread from the bottom of the bun, leaving about 1/2 shell.
  • Step 4
    Spoon the beef mixture into the bottom of the buns.
  • Step 5
    Place the cheese mixture on top of the ground beef mixture. Top with the top of the bun.
  • Step 6
    Wrap in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes.
