Ingredients For kentucky hot brown sliders

  • 1 pkg
    King's Hawaiian savory butter rolls, sliced in half (12 rolls)
  • 1/4 c
    mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp
    prepared yellow mustard
  • 8 lg
    deli turkey slices
  • 2 md
    tomatoes, sliced into 12 pieces
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano leaves, or to taste
  • ground Himalayan pink salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 1 1/2 c
    Gouda cheese, grated
  • 6 slice
    bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • onion powder

How To Make kentucky hot brown sliders

  • 1
    Grease the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray and place a piece of parchment paper with overhang. Set aside.

    Using a serrated knife, slice the buns lengthwise, gently holding them down when slicing. Place the bottom rolls in the prepared baking dish.

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • 4
    In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise and prepared yellow mustard. Spread the mixture on the bottom rolls, covering the entire surface.

    Place turkey slices, then tomato slices on top; season with oregano, salt, and pepper.

    Sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese, followed by crumbled cooked bacon. Place the top rolls, pressing down gently.

    In a small skillet, blend together lukewarm melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic, and onion powder.

    Brush the butter mixture on top of the buns.

    Cover with a piece of foil and transfer to the preheated oven; bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the top is golden.

    Remove from the heat, lift and transfer the sliders onto a cutting board; let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
