This is an easy and fun way to serve Meatball Subs.... It is not as messy either! All the flavors and joy of a good Meatball Sub, but serving in a easier to make and eat way... Even the littlest children love this! I developed this recipe to serve for a sporting event... had everything ready and let the adults help the children and themselves! It was a big hit! Not one child said, "Oops! My meatball fell out!" Play with your food! xo

Ingredients For inside out meatball subs!
- MEATBALLS

2 bagfrozen meatballs
- SAUCE
-
1 mdonion (chopped)
-
1 mdbell pepper (chopped)

2 stickcelery (chopped)

1 lgeggplant (chopped)

3 jarpasta sauce of choice

1 candiced tomatoes
-
1 Tbspbasil (dried or fresh)
-
1 Tbspgarlic (minced fine)

1 tspgarlic powder
-
1 tspblack pepper
- BREAD

1 lgfrench bread (sliced)
- TOPPING

2 cmozzarella cheese (shredded)
How To Make inside out meatball subs!

1Put frozen (or thawed) meatballs in a large skillet. Brown well.

2Add onion, celery and bell pepper. Cook about 3 minutes.

3Add the eggplant, cook about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

4Add the sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic and spices. Simmer about 15 minutes, stirring. The sauce will thicken and get darker and richer.

5Place desired amount of slices of bread on an angle in a serving bowl (we use 1 to 3 slices).

6Scoop some sauce and meatballs into center of bowl.

7Top with Mozzarella Cheese. Serve!
