Recipe by

I have a panini maker and have been trying to use it for all kinds of stuff. Who needs a regular sandwich when you can transform it into a panini? Of course, you can use whatever kind of cheese or deli meat you desire - the sky's the limit! Or at least, the deli section of your market is the limit!

Ingredients For ham and gouda panini

  • 4 slice
    whole grain bread
  • 2 tsp
    whole grain mustard
  • 2 slice
gouda cheese (or any kind you want)
  • 2-4 oz
    deli sliced black forest ham
  • sliced pickles (bread and butter, hamburger, or dill)
  • roasted red peppers

How To Make ham and gouda panini

  • 1
    Pre-heat panini maker.
  • 2
Build the two sandwiches from the bottom up in order listed: Bread, mustard, cheese, ham, pickles, red peppers, bread.
  • 3
Put both sandwiches cheese side down in the panini maker, close lid, and let sandwiches heat up. (I like to hold the top down firmly so that those lines become nice and toasty looking!)
  • 4
Carefully remove sandwiches from panini maker, cut in half, and serve.
