- ICEBERG SALAD
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup sliced pepperoncini
- 1/3 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 - head iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
- SANDWICH
- 1 large Italian loaf (about 20 inches)
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1/2 pound sliced provolone cheese
- 1/2 pound sliced smoked ham
- 1/2 pound sliced deli pepperoni
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced Genoa salami
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
How To Make grinder sandwich

Step 1In a large bowl, mix the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, oregano, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Step 2Gently mix in the pepperoncini, red onion, and iceberg lettuce.

Step 3Cut the Italian loaf in half lengthwise and spread both sides with a thin layer of mayo.

Step 4Layer the cheese on both sides. Add the meats on both sides and top the bottom side with sliced tomatoes and the mixed iceberg lettuce salad.

Step 5Fold the top side of the sandwich over the bottom. Using a serrated knife cut the sandwich into sections of desired length.
