grilled cheese turned up
Made this sandwich recently because I had all the stuff to do it. Except the bread so I had to use regular bread. Well word spreads fast in this house and before I knew it everybody wants 1 and it just so happens that where we get our bread the cheese and onion bread is open again we get it at the Amish and they bake and sell in the spring and summer. So we can't wait. First day to get it is today.

How To Make grilled cheese turned up
-
Step 1This is for one sandwich, I make six . So assemble I and repeat
-
Step 2I bake the bacon ahead till crisp. While that is in the oven, I carmelize the onion, and shred cheese.
-
Step 3When the bacon and onion are cool,I assemble the sandwich.
-
Step 4Butter both sides of bread, place on a large cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Add the cheddar cheese, onions, and 3 slices of bacon Top with the slice of provolone and the other slice of bread. If making more than one repeat.
-
Step 5Bake in 350 degree oven till cheese melts and bread is brown.
-
Step 6This also could be done on a griddle. Going to try this next time I make them.
