Ingredients

  • 4 slices good quality whole wheat bread
  • 4 teaspoons heart healthy margarine
  • 4 slices redcued fat cheddar cheese
  • - canned green chilies, drained (orteaga)

How To Make green chili grilled cheese, diabetic version

  • Step 1
    butter 2 slices of the bread as lightly as possible.
  • Step 2
    Turn the buttered sides down (I use a sheet of waxed paper for this) and place 1 cheese slice on them.
  • Step 3
    Top the cheese with as much of the greep peppers as you like and top with the second cheese slice.
  • Step 4
    Butter the last two sliced and top off the waiting stacks. Using a wide spatula place the sandwich's in a warmed skillet and toast to your liking on both sides.
