fried banana peppers w/ fried green tomato on rye!
Was setting around and though of fried banana peppers. Then I was thinking about fried green tomatoes, well, why not do both! So, I did, with a couple slices rye bread with mayo!!!! OH it was GOOODDDD!!!!

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetables oil
- 4 to 5 medium banana peppers, mild or hot, i used hot!
- 1 medium green tomato, sliced 3/8 thick
- 1 tablespoon mayo
- 2 slices jewish rye bread
- salt and pepper to taste
- BREADING!
- 1 cup corn meal
- 1/4 cup flour
- salt and pepper to taste

Step 2Get all ingredients together!!

Step 3Put 2 tablespoons of vegetables oil in a skillet. Heat oil on medium-high. Slice the banana peppers and remove seed. Place in hot oil, fried.

Step 4Fried the peppers until golden brown!

Step 5Take peppers from skillet with a slotted spoon, and place on a paper towel lined plate.

Step 6Meanwhile, take a medium green tomato and slice it into 3/8-inch thick. Place into breading and do both side of tomato. In the same skillet with same oil, with the heat set at medium-high, place tomato in hot oil. Fry until golden brown.

Step 7Remove from skillet, and place on a paper towel lined plate.

Step 8Take mayo and spread on both sides of bread. Place fried banana peppers on one side, then,

Step 9place fried green tomato on top of banana peppers. Add salt and pepper to taste. Take other slice of bread and place on top of tomatoes. ENJOY!!!
