Ingredients
- 1 cube fermented tofu with 1 Tbsp of the liquid
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon shaoxing wine
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 inch piece ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
- 1 1/2 pounds pork shoulder
- buns, for serving
How To Make char su pulled pork

Step 1Smash the tofu with a fork. Add the honey, hoisin, soy sauce, shaoxing, garlic, ginger, white pepper, and Chinese five spice. Mix well.

Step 2Add the pork to a plastic bag, pour in the marinade, and let sit in the fridge for 12 - 24 hours.

Step 3Remove the pork from the bag and place in a slow cooker. Add the marinade. Cook on low for 10 hours. Shred with 2 forks and serve on buns.
