This is one of my husbands favorite sandwiches. Lots of different flavors....yummy and hot, but not spicy!

Ingredients For bombay tuna melt

  • 1 lg
    canned solid white albacore tuna
  • 1 Tbsp
    sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 c
    chopped yellow onion
  • 1/4 c
    chopped celery
  • 3 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp
    powdered curry spice
  • butter
  • 4 slice
    pepper jack cheese
  • mango chutney
  • 4 slice
    sour dough bread

How To Make bombay tuna melt

    Open can of tuna and drain off all the water. Put in mixing bowl, add Mayonnaise, onion, celery, pickle relish and curry powder. Mix well....if needed add more mayo to mix.

    In large fry pan, place well buttered slice of bread face down, spread bread with enough Mango Chutney to cover bread, place tuna mixture on top and then add a slice of pepper jack cheese. Put the other slice of butter bread on top face up.

    Turn fry pan on medium heat, turn sandwich when golden brown. Then repeat on other side.
