I've seen this recipe using different cuts of meat but Eye of Round is my favorite. It's also my favorite recipe for a roast. 7 hours is an approximate time. I test the meat at 7 hours then decide if it needs more time.
1Place roast into a slow cooker. Sprinkle the meat with pepper and garlic powder. Then sprinkle with ranch dressing mix and au jus mix. Lay pepperoncini peppers on top of the roast. Then place butter on top of peppers. Do not add water or any fluid.
2Put slow cooker on SLOW and cook for 7 hours. It will produce the best tasting gravy that will just need thickened.
3Cooks Note: I place a slow cooker liner inside the pot first. It makes for an easy clean up.
