london broil
Fantastic flavor bursts from this very easy recipe...a real crowd pleaser...be sure to double the marinade, and get the largest flank steak you can because leftovers are fantastic. I serve with rice under the sliced London Broil, and with a salad.

2-4 serving(s)
Ingredients
- 1 - 3 pounds flank steak
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons water
- 6 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon pepper
How To Make london broil
-
Step 1mix all ingredients together in bowl, after slicing or smashing garlic to create marinade...I usually double the marinade and cook the largest flank steak I can find because the leftovers are tremendous the next day
-
Step 2Place flank steak in 2 gallon zip lock bag and add the marinade, zip closed forcing all the air out of the bag and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or better overnight, turning over every 4-8 hours
-
Step 3Spray broiler pan with cooking spray and place meat in center. Discard marinade in zip lock bag and load flank steak on broiler pan into the oven broiler, 3-4" under broiler coils after they have reached "high" heat
-
Step 4Set timer for 4 minutes if flank steak is 1" thick or less, 5 minutes if greater than 1"...after, flip flank steak over and broil for 4-5 more minutes as you did with the first side
-
Step 5Remove from broiler and let rest 5-10 minutes and prep salad, rice or other. Rice is a nice base dish underneath the meat when served
-
Step 6slice thin, 1/8" across the grain and serve. This will produce a rare to med-rare London Broil and is bursting with fantastic flavor
