Oh my gosh, these ribs are moist and delicious! I'm not gonna be bossy and tell you what kind of rib rub or bbq sauce to use. Just use what you like! The crock pot will do an amazing job of cooking your ribs to perfection! Then cover with sauce and pop them in the oven!

Ingredients For crock pot baby back ribs

  • 1 slab of baby back ribs with the membrane removed from the back side
  • your favorite rib rub
  • 1
    sweet onion quartered, but kept together
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • your favorite bbq sauce

How To Make crock pot baby back ribs

    Remove the ribs from the packaging. Rinse and pat them dry.

    Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane from the back, cut the slab in half, and sprinkle with your choice of spices or rub.

    Stand the ribs up with the meaty side out along the side of the crock pot. Half of the slab on each side. Place the quartered, but whole onion in the center. This will help to keep the ribs in place.

    Add 1/2 cup of water, cover the crock pot, and set on low for 4 hours. The ribs will be nice and tender.
  • Ribs and onions in the oven.

    When the ribs are cooked to your liking, place on a baking sheet that is covered with parchment paper. Slather the ribs with BBQ sauce. Add the onions to the baking sheet too!
  • Ribs sliced to serve.

    Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Slice and serve! Season the onions with salt and pepper and place in a bowl.
