baked bbq ribs
I love how simple this recipe is. If you like extra sauce, just add it (that's why I wrote 1 or 2 bottles of barbecue sauce - I used 1 and it was plenty for us). Also, you can cover the pan with foil while baking or not. I don't cover my ribs while baking, but plan to try that next time and see how much of a difference it makes or doesn't make :-)

Varies, but typically serves 4-6.
Ingredients
- 2 - 4 pounds ribs (country, baby back, whichever you prefer)
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 or 2 bottles stubbs barbecue sauce (18 oz)
- to taste - paprika
How To Make baked bbq ribs
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 250 degrees
-
Step 2Mix sugar, salt & Paprika well. Place on a large flat plate (I use a pie plate because it is large and has sides).
-
Step 3Roll meat in this mixture and coat well on all 4 sides.
-
Step 4Place ribs in baking dish (I use a glass 13X9 pan). Add water to pan until it is 1 inch deep or half way up sides of the meat.
-
Step 5Bake for 1 hour, turn meat, bake 1 more hour. At this time, take pan from oven and drain the liquid. Add barbecue sauce, coating ribs well. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees and bake an additional 30 minutes.
