Another recipe from my old Mennonite Cookbook! This recipe hails from Indiana.
Have not tried this one yet. Going to have some guests (family) in early June, and plan to try this at that time.
Another easy peasy recipe for sure.
Almost like a baked spaghetti?

ground beef
3 slice
1 small
onion, chopped
1 c
peas, canned, drain juice
2 c
tomatos, chopped with juice
1/3 c
celery, chopped
1 can(s)
mushroom pieces (small can)
1/2 lb
spaghetti cooked
10 oz
grated cheese - mild or sharp

How to Make "Wigglers"


  • 1Fry bacon; when cooked remove from pan and break into pieces.
  • 2Add onion and hamburger to bacon drippings and cook until meat is cooked and onions soft.
  • 3Arrange cooked meat, vegetable and cooked spaghetti in alternate layers in a 8 X 8 casserole dish.
  • 4Pour chopped tomatoes with juice over mixture; cover with grated cheese and bacon pieces.

    Bake at 350 D/F for one hour.
