- 8 - center cut pork chops (medium thickness
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sage, dried
- 4 - cored tart apples (granny smith), sliced into rings
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup raisins
How To Make whistling dixie pork chops

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Brown the pork chops in small amount of fat in a skillet & sprinkle with salt & sage.

Step 3Place in a casserole dish & top with the apple rings. Sprinkle with brown sugar.

Step 4Add flour to the remaining fat in the skillet & blend.

Step 5Add the water & vinegar & cook until thick, stirring constantly.

Step 6Add the raisins to the vinegar mixture & then pour over chops.
