Ingredients For vietnamese style pork ribs

  • 2 lb
    pork baby back ribs ribs, separated
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    ginger, grated
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 3 tsp
    fish sauce
  • 1 tsp
    chili garlic sauce
  • 1 can
    coconut soda (12 oz)
  • 3 stalk
    green onions, sliced

How To Make vietnamese style pork ribs

    Place the olive oil in a Dutch oven. Brown the ribs in batches until browned on all sides. Remove to a plate. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté 5 minutes.

    Add the fish sauce and brown sugar. Add the ribs back to the Dutch oven. Pour the coconut soda over the top.

    Add water if the soda doesn't cover the ribs. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 1 hour.

    Remove the lid and continue to cook another 30 minutes until most of the moisture is absorbed. The last 5 minutes stir in the green onions.
