I call this Toni's BBQ pork because I got it from my friend, Toni. It's so easy and it's delicious! It's great as a pork roast for a main course or making BBQ pork sandwiches...it works really well as sandwiches if you're having a lot of people or taking potluck.

    onion

How to Make Toni's BBQ pork

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Peel onion and cut in half.
  3. Place roast in roasting pan. Put onion on top of roast. Pour BBQ sauce and pie filling over the roast/onion. Place in oven for 3 hours.
  4. I have used a slow cooker for this and it works great cooked that way, too.
  5. Serve with roasted redskin potatoes and vegetable and/or salad. Even the young kids loved it!
