Absolute FAMILY FAVORITE!! Have always received rave reviews whenever I've taken this to church functions or pot luck dinners. The recipe is requested every time! (I always Take a few copies with me!)

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz.) peas
  • 4 cups cubed pork steak
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 package noodles, medium sized
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 cup grated american cheese
  • 1 can durkee onion rings

How To Make the ultimate pork casserole

  • Step 1
    Drain peas, reserving liquid.
  • Step 2
    Brown pork in shortening.
  • Step 3
    Add onion, celery, salt, water and reserved liquid.
  • Step 4
    Simmer till meat is done.
  • Step 5
    Cook and drain noodles.
  • Step 6
    Add soup, pepper, thyme, peas, and cheese.
  • Step 7
    Combine noodle mixture and pork mixture and place in lightly greased casserole dish.
  • Step 8
    Top with onion rings.
  • Step 9
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
