Thai larb is one of the most popular street food in Thailand. It is a wonderful delicious combination of minced pork lime juice, chili flakes, fish sauce and fresh herbs. I served it in lettuce wraps topped with sweet chili sauce. Fabulous

uncooked thai sticky rice
1 lb
ground pork
1 Tbsp
each red chili flakes, sugar, and fish sauce
limes juiced
3 small
shallots minced
1/4 c
cilantro chopped
green onions sliced thinly

How to Make Thai Larb


  • 1Take the uncooked Thai sticky rice (also called Thai sweet rice). Brown it over medium heat in an ungreased sauce pan stirring constantly until browned but not burnt. Let cool a bit then grind into a powder in food processor. Set aside.
  • 2Add the pork to a frying pan and cook until almost done. Add the shallots. Cook until pork is done. Remove from heat and add the rice powder, and remaining ingredients. Stir to combine well.
  • 3I served this in a lettuce wrap topped with fresh Cilantro leaves and sweet chili sauce
