Thai larb is one of the most popular street food in Thailand. It is a wonderful delicious combination of minced pork lime juice, chili flakes, fish sauce and fresh herbs. I served it in lettuce wraps topped with sweet chili sauce. Fabulous

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons uncooked thai sticky rice
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon each red chili flakes, sugar, and fish sauce
  • 2 - limes juiced
  • 3 small shallots minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 4 - green onions sliced thinly

How To Make thai larb

  • Step 1
Take the uncooked Thai sticky rice (also called Thai sweet rice). Brown it over medium heat in an ungreased sauce pan stirring constantly until browned but not burnt. Let cool a bit then grind into a powder in food processor. Set aside.
  • Step 2
Add the pork to a frying pan and cook until almost done. Add the shallots. Cook until pork is done. Remove from heat and add the rice powder, and remaining ingredients. Stir to combine well.
  • Step 3
I served this in a lettuce wrap topped with fresh Cilantro leaves and sweet chili sauce
