taters and sausage bake
This dish is a FAVORITE in my house! There are 7 in my family and everyone loves it! As soon as they walk in the house they know what's cooking! I always double this recipe. Leftovers, if any, are great for lunches the next day!

Ingredients
- 2 lbs. - potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 3-4 - green onions, diced
- 2 cloves - garlic, minced (i always put extra in)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 - egg yolks
- dash - each pepper and nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced (kielbasa)
- 1/2 cup diced mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme or sage
How To Make taters and sausage bake

Step 1Cook potatoes in boiling water until tender;drain and transfer to a mixing bowl;mash potatoes.

Step 2Add onions, garlic, butter, milk, egg yolks, pepper and nutmeg; beat until light and fluffy.

Step 3Stir in parsley, sausage and cheeses.

Step 4Spoon into a greased 2-quart baking dish.

Step 5Sprinkle with thyme.

Step 6Bake, uncovered, @ 400* for 30 minutes or until lightly browned and heated through.
