Ingredients

  • 1 large
    onion
  • 2 1/2 lb
    boneless pork loin
  • 1 c
    hot water
  • 1/4 c
    white sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    red wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce, low sodium
  • 1 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 clove
    large cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 - 3 dash(es)
    hot pepper sauce, or to your taste

How to Make Tangy Slow Cooker Pork

Step-by-Step

  1. 1. Arrange onion slices evenly over the bottom of the Crockpot, and then place the roast on top of the onion.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix together water, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and hot sauce; pour over roast.
  3. 3. Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, or on High for 3 to 4 hours.
  4. I served this with mashed potatoes and the juice and onion spooned over the meat and the potatoes. It would also be great with egg noodles or rice.
