4pork chops, center cut
1 Tbspcanola oil
1 clovegarlic, minced
1 Tbspfresh ginger, minced
2 tspcanola oil
4 Tbsprice wine
4 Tbspsoy sauce
2 Tbspbrown sugar
1/4 tspcrushed red pepper flakes
How to Make Sweet Chops
- Heat oil in skillet. Saute` chops with garlic and ginger in oil, turning to brown both sides.
To make sauce, combine oil, rice wine, soy sauce, brown sugar and red pepper flakes.
- Pour over chops in skillet and cover tightly. Simmer over low heat until chops are tender and cooked through; 30-35 minutes.
- Add water as needed to keep sauce from cooking down too much.
- Remove chops from skillet to serving platter. Stir in cornstarch dissolved in water. Cook until thickened. Pour over chops and serve.
