Ingredients

  • 2 cups ricotta
  • 16 ounces parmesan
  • 16 ounces mozzarella
  • 1 pound frozen spinach (thawed)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 pound italian sausage, sweet
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large box large or extra large pasta shells
  • 1 large spaghetti sauce

How To Make stuffed pasta shells

  • Step 1
    Bring water and salt to boil and add pasta shells. Cook to desired tenderness
  • Step 2
    Brown groundbeef, italian sausage and onion chopping as you cook. Drain and let cool
  • Step 3
    combine ricotta, parmesan, and mozzarella and mix together (Using hands in the easiest way to combine)
  • Step 4
    drain spinach and add to cheese mixture
  • Step 5
    Add egg to the cheese and spiniach mixing untill well combined
  • Step 6
    add cooled meat mixture (ensure meat is cooled so as not to melt the cheese) and mix until well combined
  • Step 7
    in a baking dish add enough spaghetti sauce to cover bottom of dish
  • Step 8
    using a spoon fill each shell with cheese and meat mixture arranging in a single layer in baking dish
  • Step 9
    Pour remaining spaghetti sauce over the stuffed shells and cover in a layer of mozarella or italian cheese
  • Step 10
    Back at 350 for one hour until cheese is melted and bubbley
