  • 1 lb
    lean pork
  • 1 bunch
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp
    peanut oil
  • 1/2 tsp
  • ·
    a few drops of sesame oil
  • 1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry sherry
  • 1 tsp
  • ·
    dash of white pepper
  • 1 Tbsp

How to Make Stir-Fried Pork and Leeks


  1. Dice pork, diagonally across the grain into bite size pieces. On a clean cutting board slice leeks (white and light green parts only).
  2. Heat oil. Add salt, then garlic, and brown lightly. Add pork and leeks. Stir fry until golden (about 2 minutes)
  3. Mix cornstarch with chicken broth. Stir in broth mixture and heat quickly, then cook, covered,. 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat.
  4. . Meanwhile, combine soy sauce, sherry, sugar, pepper and sesame oil; then add and cook, stirring, 2 minutes more.
  5. Serve over hot cooked rice.
