spicy pork and peas noodle bowl

If you don't like a lot of spice, leave out the Thai chiles, which is what I usually do unless I am making this for my son. He likes the hot stuff. I use a little chili garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen peas
  • 2 large Thai chiles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Thai basil, chopped
  • 8 ounces rice noodles

How To Make spicy pork and peas noodle bowl

  • Step 1
    Add the oil to a stir fry pan. Add the garlic and saute 30 seconds. Add the ground pork and cook, breaking it up until no longer pink.
  • Step 2
    Add the oyster sauce, Hoisin sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar. Mix well.
  • Step 3
    Add the frozen peas and chilies and cook about 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Cook the rice noodles according to package directions. Drain reserving 2 Tbsp noodle water.
  • Step 5
    Add the water to the pork mixture. Add the Thai basil. Plate the noodles and spoon the pork mixture over top.
