Ingredients For southern style jambalaya

  • 1/2 lb
    rotisserie chicken, deboned
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 12 oz
    polish sausage
  • 1 sm
    green bell pepper
  • 1
    celery stalk
  • 1 sm
    onion diced
  • 1 can
    or 14 1/2 oz stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 1/2 c
    wild rice or minute rice
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    tabasco sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped parsley

How To Make southern style jambalaya

  • 1
    Cook and stir chicken in hot butter in large skillet until lightly browned. Add sausage, green pepper, onion and celery;cook until vegetables are just tender, about 5 minutes. Mix in tomatoes and water;bring to full boil. Stir in rice, salt and tabasco sauce. Cover;remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork;sprinkle with parsley. makes 4 servings

    Microwave Directions-Comine chicken(should be rotissirie),butter, sausage, green pepper, onion, and celery in 12X7X7 1/2 in. microwavable dish. Cover with plastic wrap and cook at High 3 minutes;stir. Add tomatoes, rice,salt and tabasco sauce. Cover and cook at high 7 min. longer. Let stand 5 min. Fluff with fork;sprinkle with parsley. Makes 4 servings.
