I wanted a new way to cook pork chops so I went to food network and found a recipe
that inspired this dish, I altered it to the way I thought it ought to be. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

    loin chops about 1/2 in thick
  • 2 c
    white wine
  • 1
    yellow onion choped
  • 1/2
    bag of stirfry peppers (frozen) or 2 fresh bell peppers
  • 2 c
    chicken bouillon (i use
  • a few dash(es)
    garlic powder
  • a few dash(es)
    cayenne pepper
  • a few dash(es)
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil, extra virgin

How to Make Smothered Pork Chops


  1. place chops in large ziplock bag and add the wine and refrigerate for at least an hour over night would be best
  2. drain chops and add salt, pepper and cayenne and let set for 1/2 hour
  3. in large skillet melt butter
  4. coat the chops with flour and brown in butter about 3 min remove from pan
  5. add olive oil, peppers and onions saute for about 1 min replace chops moving the peppers and onions on top of them
  6. add bouillon and Worcestershire sauce do not stir
  7. cover and simmer for about 20 min let stand for about 5 min and serve with rice
