smothered pork chops with onions
This is one of my husband's favorite meat dishes.

Ingredients
- 4 medium pork chops
- 1 slice vidalia onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 cups water
How To Make smothered pork chops with onions

Step 1rinse pork chops off and pat dry.

Step 2mix salt,black pepper and paprika together in a bowl, then add to pork chops.

Step 3coat the pork chops with the flour on both sides.

Step 4heat vegetable oil on medium setting,when oil is hot add pork chops and brown on each side. When browned remove from skillet and place on plate.

Step 5Then add onions to skillet and slightly brown them, then add any remaining flour to the skillet and brown and add the water and stir.

Step 6Add the pork chops to the gravy mixture, reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook for 35 mins.
