Ingredients
- 4 - pork chops 3/4 inch thick, bone-in
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- - fresh flat leaf parsley chopped, for garnish
How To Make smothered pork chops

Step 1Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels Mix all the dry ingredients in a shallow dish.

Step 2Coat the pork chops with the flour mixture.

Step 3Heat oil over medium high heat in large saute pan.

Step 4Add pork chops to hot oil and fry 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from pan.

Step 5Add 2 T seasoned flour to pan. Mix up flour and fat. Mix in chicken broth and let it reduce and thicken for 5 minutes.

Step 6Add buttermilk to pan. Return pork chops to pan covering with sauce.

Step 7Simmer for 5 minutes or until pork is cooked through.

Step 8Season with salt and pepper. Serve pork chop with gravy and chopped parsley.
