    3 lb. pork shoulder roast
  • 1 bag(s)
    (16 oz) frozen chopped collard greens
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1 box
    (32 oz) swanson chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    mccormick montreal steak seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    liquid smoke

How to Make Slow Cooker Smoked Pork and Greens

Step-by-Step

  1. Place frozen collard greens in the slow cooker.
  2. Combine the onion, chicken broth, vinegar, sugar, steak seasoning, and liquid smoke together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
    Pour over greens.
  3. Place roast (fat side up) over greens. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
