Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork roast trimmed and sliced into 4 pieces
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Crystal hot sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • cilantro, for garnish

How To Make slow cooker pineapple pork roast

  • Step 1
    Place the pork in the bottom of a slow cooker. Top with the sliced onions. Mix the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, and garlic. Pour over the meat and onions.
  • Step 2
    Place the pineapple on top and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Remove the pork to a plate and strain out the pineapple and onions. Place the sauce in a grease separate and separate the sauce into a saucepan. Place on the stove and bring to a boil. Reduce for about 10 minutes and thicken with corn starch slurry if desired.
  • Step 3
    Serve the pork with the pineapple and onions on top and ladle over the sauce. Garnish with cilantro.
