slow cooker guinness sausages
I like to slice the sausages on the diagonal before putting in the slow cooker. But I've also left them whole - both ways work. Serve over mashed potatoes....yummm!

Ingredients
- 8 medium farmers sausages (or any plump pork sausage)
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour (heaping tbsp)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (heaping tbsp)
- 1 teaspoon bovril (optional)
- 1 can beef stock
- 1 bottle dark beer (guinness)
How To Make slow cooker guinness sausages

Step 1Fry the sausages using a little oil in a non-stick pan over a moderate heat. When lightly colored on all sides, remove from the pan. Place the sausages in the slow cooker.

Step 2Slice the onions thinly and mix them with the flour and brown sugar. Put this mixture over the sausages.

Step 3Pour the bovril, beef stock and beer over the top.

Step 4Cook on high for 4 - 5 hours or low for 8 - 10 hours.
