This a recipe my dad would make for a Sunday dinner. He always made something big and special for Sundays, mainly because we were poor and couldn't afford to eat like that everday, lol.

bone-in pork chops
2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
canola oil
salt and pepper to taste
flour for dredging
medium red potatoes, sliced w/ skins on
1 large
onion, thinly sliced
2 tsp
minced garlic
10.75 oz can fat-free, condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 c
beef broth
1 tsp
dried thyme
2 tsp
dried parsley for garnish
1 pkg
dried onion gravy mix pouch

How to Make Slow-cooked pork chops w/ gravy and potatoes


  • 1Heat butter and oil in lg skillet over medium heat. Season chops w/ salt and pepper. Dredge chops in flour. Brown chops on both sides in skillet.
  • 2Add potatoes and onions to slow-cooker. Place chops on top of poataoes and onions.
  • 3Top chops w/ remaining ingredients except for parsley. Cover, cook on low for about 4 hrs, or until pork is tender. Garnish w/ parsley. Ladle chops w/ gravy.
