I got this recipe off of Paula Dean's show on the Food Network. It is quick and simple and has a wonderful flavor~

Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain rice (raw)
- 3 tablespoons dried minced onions
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 - bay leaf
- - jambalya mix from above
- 21/2 cups water
- 1 can petite cut tomatoes
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/2 - lb. sausage-sliced
- 1 - lb. raw shrimp

Step 1Combine first 10 ingredients in a ziplock bag...shake to mix well. You can give as gift with recipe below or use, or store for a later date to make the Jambalya~

Step 2TO MAKE JAMBALYA:

Step 3In a Dutch Oven pot; combine all ingredients except shrimp. bring to a boil. Cover, lower temperature, simmer 20 minutes.

Step 4Add shrimp, stir well, cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes until shrimp are pink and done. Stirring to make sure it doesn't stick.

Step 5Let sit a little bit to absorb the liquid~
