shrimp and sausage stuff

Everyone loves this stuff. Honestly can't make it often enough. It is easy but looks like I have worked really hard. It is great anytime but is awesome on a cold day. It's a wonderful comfort food. I have never madethis that someone always and I mean always ask me for the recipe. I hope ya'll enjoy it as much as my family and friends. I hope to make it this week I will add pic.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 pounds uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined tails off (i use med d size
  • 1 package erkrich sausage cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 cans tomato sauce 8oz.
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green onion
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4to1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4to1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or red pepper
  • - hot cooked rice
  • - hot butter garlic bread on the side

How To Make shrimp and sausage stuff

  • Step 1
    In large pot (like a beanpot), saute the onion and sausage in butter until onions are tender. Reduce heat, add shrimp. Cook for 5 min. Stir in the tomato sauce, green onions, parsley, and seasoning. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, for 20 min or until slightly thickened. While this is cooking prepare your rice (I use min rice) l cook about 1 to 1 1/2 cups for two people.
