Ingredients

3 1/2 lb
pork butt
3 c
chicken broth (warmed up)
2 Tbsp
garlic powder
2 Tbsp
onion powder
2 Tbsp
ground cumin
2 Tbsp
chili powder
2 tsp
coriander
1 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
fresh lime juice
1 medium
fresh lime (sliced)
1 small
can of chopped green chili

How to Make "Shredded Pork Carnitas"

Step-by-Step

  • 1Add 3 cups warmed chicken broth to your crockpot. Add all spices into the broth and mix well, add your Pork
  • 2Add lime juice 2 tbs over top of the pork, replace lid and cook on high for 4-6 hrs.
  • 3At the 6 hour mark remove the Pork from the cooker and let rest in a large dish, after 15 minutes take two forks and shred the meat it will be TENDER.
  • 4Transfer the broth from the slow cooker into a large covered pan heat over med heat until simmering, add your shredded pork and can of chopped chili's cover and simmer 45 minutes.
  • 5Remove from heat and serve in warm tortillas or stuffed in taco shells with fresh squeezed lime over the top, either way it will be a big hit!!!
