~ Sherried Asian Chops ~

Cassie *

An experiment that turned out totally scrumptious! You have got to try these awesome chops.

Too easy to be so good...I love anything made with soy, garlic and honey...the sherry added depth to the flavor. The marinade would also be great on cubed pieces of pork or even chicken for kabobs.

5- 6
1 inch thick - pork loin chops or any thick chop
1 Tbsp
each - sesame oil & vegetable oil
1/2 c
each - dry sherry & soy sauce
1 Tbsp
jarred minced garlic
1 Tbsp
plus 1 teaspoon, ginger root paste
1 Tbsp
orange zest
1/4 c
1 1/2 Tbsp
sesame seeds
2 Tbsp
water and 1 1/2 teaspoon corn starch for thickening marinade

1In a small saucepan over med heat, add sesame oil, garlic and ginger paste. Cook for 30 seconds, 1 minute if using fresh garlic. Remove from heat and stir in soy, honey, sherry, orange zest and sesame seeds.
2Place chops on a 9 x 13 shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chops. Cover and refrigerate for an hour or two, turning occasionally.
3Have grill heating and remove chops from marinade. Grill for 10 - 12 minutes on each side. While they're grilling, place remaining marinade in a saucepan, mix cornstarch with water and whisk into marinade. Bring to a boil and stir constantly until slightly thickened.
4While chops are grilling, brush with marinade several times, until chops are cooked through.
5Can drizzle with remaining marinade as well.

Enjoy! They were awesome!
