Ingredients

  • MARINADE
  • 1/3 cup each dark soy sauce, hoisin sauce and oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons minced ginger
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin thinly sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 6 - green onions white and green parts separated.
  • 3 - baby bok choy white and green parts separated
  • 8 ounces rice spaghetti noodles
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce or sirracha sause
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped

How To Make shanghai noodles

  • Step 1
    Mix ingredients for marinade and add sliced pork tenderloin. Let sit 30 minutes. Meanwhile cook the noodles according to directions on package. Drain.
  • Step 2
    Heat 2 tbsp oil in large skillet. Remove pork from marinade and reserve the extra. Cook pork 1 minute flipping once. Remove pork. Add the white parts of green onions and bok choy. Saute 3 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add the garlic and pork back into pan. Mix together the chicken broth reserved marinade, sweet chili sauce, cornstarch sesame oil, and white pepper.
  • Step 4
    Pour over pork mixture and add noodles to pan. Saute until warmed through. Garnish with cilantro.
