Ingredients

  • 4
    pork rib chops, each about 1 1/2-inches thick
  • 4 tsp
    cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    freshly ground pepper
  • CARAMELIZED ONIONS:

  • 4 c
    chopped sweet onions
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How to Make Savory Pork Chops With Caramelized Onions

Step-by-Step

  1. Sprinkle pork chops evenly with Cajun seasoning and pepper.
  2. Grill, covered with grill lid, over medium high heat (350°F to 400°F) 8 minutes on each side.
  3. Serve with Caramelized Onions.
  4. CARAMELIZED ONIONS:

    Cook onion in hot olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often, 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle with sugar, and cook 2 minutes. Add vinegar and next 3 ingredients, and cook 2 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
  5. Makes about 1 1/2 cups onions.
