Ingredients

  • 3 - sweet italian sausage casing removed
  • - olive oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • - salt
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 can 15 1/2 oz petite diced tomatoes
  • 4 ounces goat cheese
  • 3 tablespoons fresh basil chopped
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes sliced
  • - cooked pasta of your choice

How To Make sausage tomato & goat cheese sauce over pasta

  • Step 1
    Place oil in large skillet. Brown the onions over med low heat for 7 minutes. Add the garlic and saute one minute. add the wine and let most evaporate. Season with salt
  • Step 2
    Place the onion mixture can tomatoes and goat cheese in a food processor and process until smooth. Set aside. Wipe out the pan and place the sausage in the pan and cook until no longer pink.
  • Step 3
    Add the tomato mixture and cook about 5 or 6 minutes. Throw in the sliced fresh cherry tomatoes and cook 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Serve over your favorite pasta garnished with fresh basil.
